Port Overview
Port Panama City is a modern, expanding port with a significant global trade presence. Centrally located in the northern Gulf of Mexico, Port Panama City provides easy access through a 36-foot-deep draft channel that runs from St. Andrews Pass to the Port’s Terminals.
The Port is comprised of three modern, state-of-the-art facilities:
As a growing regional port, Port Panama City handles a diverse mix of containerized, breakbulk and bulk cargoes. Continued investments in modern port infrastructure have allowed Port Panama City to handle growing cargo volumes, while also promoting global trade and supporting industrial development at the local, state and regional levels.

Foreign Trade Zones offer key economic benefits for firms engaged in international trade, such as duty-free status for re-exported goods and deferred duty payments for items sold domestically. Port Panama City is proud to be FTZ #65.
Established in 1934 to boost international trade, FTZs are designated areas near U.S. ports of entry, considered outside U.S. customs territory.
