From The East (Tallahassee)
Use I-10 Exit 130 to US HWY 231 South and follow for 47.1 miles. Merge right onto US HWY 98 West. Follow US 98 West to the Port Panama City/Seaport Drive exit off US HWY 98. Take a left at the traffic light onto Seaport Drive, going under US 98 West flyover to enter the Port.

From The West (Pensacola)
Use I-10 Exit 85 to US HWY 331 South to US HWY 98. Take a left onto US 98 East and proceed eastward. After crossing the Hathaway Bridge, take the Port Panama City/Seaport Drive Exit off US HWY 98. Take a right at the traffic light onto Seaport Drive to enter the Port.

Rail Access Directions
The Bay Line Railroad is the originating and delivering carrier to the Port’s marine terminals. The Bay Line connects with CSXT and Norfolk Southern.

Waterside Arrival Directions

There is easy access to Port Panama City from both the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from our Dyers Point location on St. Andrews Bay.

Deep Water Channel and Turning Basin

Port Panama City is situated on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, which bisects St. Andrews Bay.
From this location, Port Panama City has easy access to the Gulf of Mexico by means of an 8.9-mile channel that runs from St. Andrews Pass (known as the West Pass) to the port. Channel characteristics, authorized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, include:

  • 1.1-mile, 450-foot-wide Approach Channel
  • 3.7-mile Bay Channel that connects the Approach and Branch Channels
  • 3.4-mile, 300-foot-wide Branch Channel that connects from the landside end of the main entrance (Bay) channel westward to Dyers Point
  • 55-acre turning basin located off of Dyers Point

Shallow Water Access

Port Panama City is directly situated on the Gulf Intracoastal Water that runs along Florida’s Gulf Coast, and is maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to a 12-foot working depth. The Mobile District of the U.S. Army Corp has jurisdiction over the portion of the waterway from Rigolets, Louisiana, to Apalachee Bay, Florida, approximately 380 miles, which includes the stretch that bisects St. Andrews Bay and serves Port Panama City.
